The education imparted at Bhavan's Sawan Public School is a composite of academic, physical and co-curricular activities, with emphasis on all round development.

The CBSE curriculum is followed and the medium of instruction is English. The subjects taught are English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, History, Geography, Civics, Commerce and Economics. Moral education, though not taught as a separate subject, forms an integral part of the school curriculum and runs as an undercurrent through the entire educational process. Special emphasis is laid on Sanskrit, which is taught from classes VI to X. Students are encouraged to specialise in Sanskrit language and qualify in the examinations conducted by the various Sanskrit institutions in the country. The class rooms are spacious, airy and well lit. The four laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science are well equipped. Laboratories for Maths, Geography and Physical Health Education have been opened recently. A well-equipped Media Room enables teachers and students to make use of electronic instructional materials. For the development of hobbies and for engendering a love for Arts and Craft there are specially equipped rooms for Art, Carpentry and Electronic Projects. The school library has a collection of books, magazines and newspapers which are constantly updated. Guided by reading lists, students are encouraged to read intelligently, while review writing provides a feedback on the development of reading and writing skills. Detailed Progress Report Cards are regularly sent to the parents. These are not mere indicators of academic progress, but also contain analytic comments by the teachers and a report about the students' inter social activities.
